Carnegie Mellon Philharmonic Andrés Cárdenes, Artistic Director Tonight, Andrés Cárdenes and the Carnegie Mellon University Philharmonic will open the 2014-15 season featuring Joshua Burca on Jean Sibelius's Violin Concerto in D Minor, Op. 47. Also on the program will be Maurice Ravel's Alborada del gracioso, Veljo Tormis' Overture No. 2, and selections from Sergei Prokofiev's orchestral suites No. I & II from Romeo and Juliet, Op. 64.
